AMY
A mischievous smile under a freckled nose,
Cheeks with the bloom of a fragrant red rose.
Amy, we'll miss you, your presence so sweet,
But we know you're with Jesus! and soon we will meet
you on that bright and glorious shore!
There'll be no more tears and we'll rejoice evermore!
Pigtails and ponytails; ribbons and lace,
Eyeglasses that were never in place on your face!
Blue jeans and tee-shirts; curled up with a book,
Riding your horse, or learning to cook . . .
You did it all to please Jesus, to glorify His name,
And without you Sweet Amy, things won't be the same.
But watch for us Amy, for soon we'll be there,
If we have trusted Jesus, and sought Him in prayer.
Accepting our need of a Saviour and Guide;
Someone in whom we can safely abide.
Very soon will be that great and wondrous day
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye . . . Amy dear,
We're not far away!!
