Life's Treasures
They giggle and grin,
With the smallest of whim.
They smile for all,
The cheerer of the soul
These kids are a treasure,
Make life abound beyond measure.
Worth more than the world,
And my fragile heart they do hold.
Then one foggy, dreary day,
They grow up into teens.
They no longer need you,
Don't want you, it seems.
Then an a sunny day,
They become young adults.
They need you again now,
The heart won't cease to shout.
You thought your heart had died,
You felt your soul sigh.
But you must have hung on to life,
You knew....someday, it would be set right.
