Love Me, Love Me Not

As I lie on the ground with the tall grass hiding me

I let my mind wonder to what might be

I can hear the wind softly blowing through the grass

And the grass is waving over me like a protective mask.

I feel protected here, hid from the eyes of men.

Protecting me in the place, as I know only God can.

The sky is so blue as far, as far as I can see

It makes me feel like I'm on the edge of eternity

As I lie here I turn my head and I see wild daisies

I pick one and pull on the petals as I say

"Love me, Love me not

"Love me, Love me not"

The child within is lost, and I'm all but forgot.

My heart calls out to God with every breath I take

Won't you please please help me?

I've so many decisions to make.

I've called and I've called you, and I've searched everywhere

Why can't you hear me?  Don't you really care?

I've called you but You never answer me,

Can't You see me, or have You lost track of me?

I know You're very, very busy,

and other's need you too.

But please, God, I am here, and I need Your help too.

Please don't let me be a child that's been forgot

Oh, love me, love me, love me.....

Don't let it be  Love me not!

Not, Love me not!
